IF IT IS A DOHC (DUAL OVERHEAD CAM) THERE IS ONE MARK ON EACH CAM SPROCKET, WHEN THESE TWO MARKS ARE PERFECTLY ALLIGNED YOUR #1 CYLINDER WILL BE AT TDC (TOP DEAD CENTER). USUALLY THAT IS EXACTLY WHERE YOU WANT TO BE WITH A DOHC, BUT THERE ARE FEW EXCEPTIONS. YOU MAY HAVE TO SET IT OFF 5 DEGREES OR SO. i WOULD TRY TO JUST LINE THEM UP FIRST, START AND RUN A TIMING LIGHT ON IT. IF YOU MARK THE BELT WITH WHITE OUT IN A ONE INCE SQUARE, THAT WHITE MARK SHOULD APPEAR IN YOUR TIMING LIGHT EVERY THIRD ROTATION. I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU, IF YOUR CAR IS NOT A DOHC THEN I AM SORRY FOR GIVING YOU SO MUCH USELESS INFO.
I need diagram on changing the timing chain
