To open the side gas door on a 2010 Honda Civic, first ensure the vehicle is in the "off" position. Then, locate the gas door release lever on the driver's side, near the floor, next to the seat. Pull the lever, and the gas door will pop open. If the gas door doesn't open, it may be stuck or require manual assistance.
Take out the hand brake and replace it
The wipers on my 1998 Honda Civic were stuck on low so I assumed it was the switch and replaced it, but the problem continued. The local Honda dealer told me that I should replace the motor, which I did, and the problem was fixed.

The fuse box diagram for a 1986 Honda Civic can be found underneath the fuse box cover. There will be a sticker labeling on the main fuses and their function stuck under the cover.
Blew a gasket, radiator overheated or rusted out or stuck thermostat top 3.
I suspect that the linkage between the gas pedal and the throttle is worn. Check the cable that connects the two.
When the hood is stuck you need to push down on the hood just above the "H", sometimes quite hard. Then the hood release will work and open the hood.
Make sure the retaining bolts are removed. Take a rubber mallet and tap on the alternator to free it from its position.
generally if an engine overheats, but then does not overheat when heater is turned on, is a good indication that the engine thermostat is stuck and needs replacing
There is a toggle on the door that may be stuck shut.
