A couple of things but check your throttle position sensor. If it is sending an incorrect reading to your cars computer then your computer sends out an incorrect fuel trim to the engine. The TPS may say the car's throttle is set at 800 but the real rpms is 500 due to a faulty reading. It is someplace to start and not that hard to check. A TPS sensor is easy to change out as well as test. It takes a circuit tester to see if your TPS is working correctly. As the TPS moves, it sends different voltage readings to your car computer to tell the computer how far the throttle is open. If the TPS is going bad it may be sending readings that says it is at idle but the throttle body blade may be closer to choking the fuel and air off so you will get a real low idle.
