tp many things to think about it
yes, the dohc sl will fit. sohc 3000gt uses a distributer
Yes, a 1994 3000GT VR4 twin-turbo engine can fit into a 1995 3000GT SL with some modifications. Both vehicles share the same platform, but you will need to address differences in the wiring harness, ECU, and exhaust systems. Additionally, you'll need to ensure that the SL's transmission and drivetrain can handle the increased power from the VR4 engine. Proper installation and tuning are essential for optimal performance.
around 45hp cause i own *edited by morri908* ....... You must have miss typed that... It depends on the style, like Base, SL, or VR4. Base and SL have about 222 HP, while the Twin Turbo VR4 has somewhere around 300..
there is no such thing as a turbo 3000gt sl model. there are custom 3000gt's where people do an engine swap and if your talking about one of those, it would prob be between the book value of a vr4 and a regular base sl. check kbb considering that it changes every year Providing that you purchased your GT SL brand new. Once you add all the things necessary to turn your vehicle into a VR4 you will have spent more money on the cost of your vehicle plus the cost of the conversion than the total cost of the VR4 when it was brand new. If you look on line these vehicles are going anywhere 5 to 12k in todays market.
.038 or .040 for a stock base/SL. For a stock VR4 the best gap is .030. If you have a VR4 and plan on running 16+ PSI of boost, drop down to a .028 gap. These #s do not match what Mitsubishi says, however, if you run stock gaps you will be more proned to blow-out. These are simply the best gaps, and I've owned both a VR4 and a SL.
Yes sure you can. ___________________________________________________ I wouldn't recommend it, if you are referring to the automatic in an sl, because, with all due respect (I'm a huge Mitsubishi fan), they were quite inferior with an average lifespan of 75,000-100,000 if you're lucky. If that's what you're asking I would DEFINITELY recommend using the getrag manual gearbox that were offered for the 3000gt's.
the 3000GT came in three models. The base model, V6 SOHC engine - front wheel drive. The SL, V6 DOHC engine - front wheel drive. And lastly, the VR4 twin turbo DOHC V6 AWD.
The 3000GT was available in 3 models, ES, SL and VR4. All three embody reliable, Japanese quality. Styling is slick, with the VR4 models being aggressive. If sport performance is your thing, the VR4 is definitely a good car. With 320 twin turbo HP, all wheel drive and all wheel steering, adjustable sport suspension, and numerous other high tech goodies, the car is still a strong performer compared with current sports cars.
Yes.
i have a 1991 3000gt SL and it will do 162.7 and that was on a gps at a air strip
completely depends on the car's milage, what climate you drive in, what model it is (Base, Sl, VR-4)... I have a low mileage VR4 and i run 10w-30. Higher mileage turbo models usually run a thicker oil. completely depends on the car's milage, what climate you drive in, what model it is (Base, Sl, VR-4)...
