I have this problem with my Glanza starlet, After having a new clutch and gearbox fitted, someone reversed my battery connections and blew the alternator, the fuse marked AM2 is also blowing, without this fuse the starter won't even turn. This far I have found from other forums that this fuse controls the EFI and electronic ignition circuits. I probably have another piece of electronic equipment which has also suffered damage. Good luck..
In a 1992 Toyota Paseo, the AM2 (Accessory) fuse location is typically found in the fuse box under the dashboard on the driver’s side. This fuse box is usually situated near the steering column. If you're looking for the specific fuse, it's advisable to check the diagram on the fuse box cover for identification and to ensure you're looking at the correct fuse.
The AM2 -CODE is a 30amp fuse, looking in my log book it comes under STARTING SYSTEM I'm having problems with mine,it keeps blowing the fuse and the car wont start.Any help would greatly be appreciate, do not know where to start.
The AM2 fuse protects the circuit between the battery and the ignition switch. After the ignition switch, it first powers the distributor, then the igniter module.
The AM2 fuse controls the starting system as well as the fuel injection system. This fuse is also connected to the discharge warning system and the airbags.
Check to make sure each fuse is working fine. Sometime a green or other color rust is the cause of the problem.?æ
fuse keeps blowing
Most likely because you have wire isolation damaged and the wire is grounded when it's not supposed.
My '93 Paseo recent refused to start. Battery was good, starter turns, but won't start. Found sparkplugs had no spark; finally traced it to AM2 fuse, which blew. Replaced it with new fuse, it also blew when I tried to start the car. AM2 fuse is for Ignition -- googling this problem showed the common cause was a condenser ("radio frequency interference condenser" as per advance auto) inside the distributor shorts out and blows this fuse. Sure enough, when I took the condenser out the Paseo started! I've decided not to replace the condenser, as it's only to prevent static on the radio (there's none with it out anyway). The only thing I would've done different was I should've just cut the brown wire coming from the condenser, and left the condenser screwed into the distributor. Because I took the condenser out, there is now a small hole to the side of the distributor where water can come in. I might just seal it with epoxy, cause the condenser is a pain to screw back in. Amazing how such a small part can prevent your car from starting (and more significantly, if it happens while you're driving, it could cause an accident as your car could abruptly lose all power).
A. AM2 B. AM2+ C. AM3 D. Socket 940
yes
Yes, the NF-MCP61 is an AM2+ compatible motherboard, which means it supports AM2 and AM2+ processors. It is part of NVIDIA's nForce 610 chipset series, designed to work with AMD's socket AM2 and AM2+ CPUs. When choosing a CPU, ensure it falls within the compatibility range of this motherboard for optimal performance.
Someone can purchase a AM2 motherboard from a number of companies such as Amazon. Amazon has a large selection of AM2 motherboards from various manufacturers.
