VVT = variable valve timing.

It basically means that in addition to electronic control over fuel injection and spark timing, the engine also has control over the times the intake/exhaust valves open and close, which means the engine can automatically adjust itself so more power is available when you want it, but the rest of the time the engine can still be efficient.

variable valve timing enhances your engine performance, by allowing the engine to adjust the valve timing in ways that draw more fuel and air into the engine to produce more power at specific times

EFi = electronic fuel injection.

EFI is electronic fuel injection which basically means your fuel is injected electronically instead of mechanically like a carbuerator does.

What is the difference between an EFI engine and a GDI engine?

EFI simply states that it's a fuel-injected engine( as opposed to a carburetor set up), and that's the fuel injection is controlled by electronics rather than by a mechanic fuel pump. GDI tells you that not only do you have a fuel-injected engine, but that the injectors are sitting closer to the combustion chambers(maybe even inside) which supposedly is good for fuel consumption and a clean burn.

How many hours will it take to do an engine swap?

It depends on your skill level, what engine you are replacing with what engine, what vehicle you are removing from and putting in, tools, and how much time you have. Is it EFI or carb? Are you going from carb to EFI? Carb to EFI? It can take a day or it can take a year lol.

What is the difference between a Geo Metro EFI and xfi?

The Geo Metro EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) and xFi (extra Fuel Injection) differ primarily in their fuel efficiency and engine tuning. The xFi variant is designed for optimal fuel economy, featuring a more efficient engine setup and lighter components, which allows it to achieve better miles per gallon compared to the standard EFI model. Additionally, the xFi typically has a more streamlined design and may include specific modifications aimed at reducing drag and improving overall aerodynamics.

What is the difference between a FLSTC or a FLSTCI on a Harley?

The difference between a FLSTC and a FLSTCI on a Harley-Davidson primarily lies in the fuel system and certain features. The FLSTC, or Heritage Softail Classic, typically refers to models with a carbureted engine, while the FLSTCI designates the same model but with electronic fuel injection (EFI). This change in fuel system enhances performance and reliability, particularly in varying weather conditions. Overall, both models share similar styling and chassis characteristics, but the EFI versions offer more modern technology.
