It should be the stick closest to you is up for out and down for in, the passenger side stick is up for low range middle for neutral and down for hi range.
If it is the same as my 1974 cj5, then its 1. 4L 2. N 3. 4H 4. 2H My 75 has a pattern of (starting with shifter full forward), which is the same on all Dana 20 transfer cases 4H 2H N 4L
The 1978 Jeep CJ5 typically features a Dana 20 transfer case, which has a shift pattern that includes two-wheel drive (2WD), four-wheel drive high (4WD High), and four-wheel drive low (4WD Low). The shift lever is usually located on the floor and can be moved between these positions. The standard shift pattern is often labeled: 2WD is in the rear position, 4WD High is in the middle, and 4WD Low is at the front. Always refer to the owner's manual for specific details related to the vehicle.
The center of the Dana 44 is aluminum, a magnet will not stick to the bottom. The Dana 35 is all steel. a magnet will stick to the entire case. Generally the 44 is used with a V8 engine, the 35 with the 6 cylinder.
I wouldn't recommend it. You would get excessive vibration at any speed, and probably driveshaft binding while wheeling.
Because rufus atemmpted to stick his small penis in her thunder kunt
Dana 300 80-86
Jeep Dana 30 uses 5 on 4.5", same as Ford Explorer. S10 doesn't use a Dana 30, it has a GM rear axle and an IFS front. Wheel bolt pattern on S10 is not the same as the Jeep, think it's 5 on 4 3/4", maybe. S10 also has different bolt pattern to the Astro Van.
