Possibly the compressor has a hole in it. My 2000 Sonata had the similar problem soon within a year of purchasing. The dealership replaced under warranty.
no
so its not blowing at all anymore, as in no air at all? if tahts the case then how do you know its still cold. if it isn't blowing as well you may just need to change out your filter, just like in a house all cars(most)have a air conditioner filter. if its not blowing anymore at all it sounds like your compressor or your whole dam motor went out, take it to shop.
Sounds like the compressor coil is either blocked or plugged. It may also be the fan isn't blowing when the car is stopped also.
If the air conditioner is not new it could have stopped blowing cold air because of several different things, too many to list here. Here are couple of possible reasons: all the refrigerant gas has leaked away; a pump has stopped working; someone else turned the temperature control to a higher temperature...? The best advice anyone can give you is to call a licensed Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) technician to fix it for you.
i know the AC in my ZX2 stopped blowing because of a loose wire
air coming out of the brake lines... that is if its a truck. if you aply the parking brake.
Has the fan stopped blowing or is the air coming out cold? Need more info please, make model, year and such.
Could be anything? Best to have a pro look at it
If the compressor has stopped running altogether the AC will not work.
No power, no air! Simple
because you car is stupid
check and see if evaporator coil restricted, coil frozen, if not check pressures sounds like unit running but not shutting down, if coil frozen oil may be carried from compressor and leaving compressor with no lubrication repair before burning out compressor.
