In my grand am se I have to take it to a shop and they have to check the tranny fluid with a analizer. ya.
It is located in or on the transmission.
Yes.It has got dip stick.
just normal weight trani fluid. You could just ask the automotive personnel in the store that you are buying it from they will tell you. Usually your engine oil has weights to it not trani oil.
If you have a transmission "Dipstick" which most cars do, you can slowly poor the tranny fuid in there (using a funnel) until it is at the appropriate level.(The dipstick will look a lot like your oil dipstick under your hood)
in the dip stick hole.
To check the transmission fluid on a 1997 Nissan Pathfinder you first need to pull the dipstick out from the tube next to the?ætransmission. Wipe the stick with a lint-free piece of cloth and reinsert the dipstick. Pull out again and read the level where the transmission fluid reaches.
The 1997 Nissan Altima 2.4L is equipped with the RE4F04A 4-speed automatic transmission. This transmission fluid pan and gasket assembly has 21-bolt holes.
