a mechanic heard a rattling under my 95 and said it was a small hole in my muffler pipe and it will get bigger if i dont weld it but someone else said the pipe was loose and knocking on the clamp
50k ago, I had to remove the heat shields from the catalytic converters. Took care of it!
Because there are lots of strangers continously coming in and out plus all of the loud noises
Noises must be heeard to correctly be diagnoised but it doesn't sound good. Take it to a garage. If it's in the front your boots might be cracked and your cv joints may be going out. unless you know its coming from your engine, then i dont know.

You hear noises coming from the alternator. The dash light for charging stays on. If not equipped with light might be a guage, in which case you see it not charging.

you might get detention because that can cause you a lot of trouble
If it is a clicking or popping sound it is probably a CV joint. If it sounds more like the car is coming apart you might have a broken motor mount.

Number 1... Vehicle won't start after loud banging noises, or clouds of smoke pouring from all directions. Number 2... It might be a Ford.
