That information is in your owners manual or, if you had a 6-cylinder Solara there would be a sticker next to the gas cap (perhaps inside the filler port door) indicating premium fuel is recommended. That said, the 6-cylinder runs fine on 87 octane (RON+MON/2) but the ECU will dial back the timing until no pre-ignition is detected. The result will be reduced power output and fuel mileage. Cheers
