Local Dealer said they use Mobil standard 5W20. But you can use any brand of oil as long as it is 5W20.
My 2008 burns a lot of oil also, not leaking. I have 166,000 miles. Won't buy another mitsubishi.

They recommend 5W 20. You can use 5W 30 if you live in a warm climate. I wouldn't use 10W30 unless you live in a climate where it never go below 32F
