This question is asked a lot. The cam timing belt for the 6-cylinder engine is scheduled for replacement every 90,000 miles or ten-years whichever comes first.
While it isn't part of the schedule, it's strongly suggested owners have the water pump changed at the same time. It's unlikely the pump will go another 90,000 miles and all of the work to reach it is already done for the belt change.
Cheers
Toyota Camry 97 has a timing belt that should be replaced every 60,000 miles.
2003 Toyota Camry 2.4L does NOT have a timing belt. It does have a Timing chain which DOES NOT need to be replaced.
videos on how do you set the timing mark on a 2000 Toyota Camry Solara 2.2 liter , 4 cylinder
Timing chain is usually replaced at 200K.
Every 90K miles.
It has a timing belt.
toyota recommends that timing belts be replaced at 60,000; however, 100,000 miles is fine. Replace at 100,000 miles as preventative maintenance. 4 cylinder 2002 Camry has a timing chain which does not have to be replaced.
Timing chain usually needs to be replaced each 180-200K miles.
nope
Yes, and it must be replaced every 90,000 miles.
The timing belt has to be removed to access the water pump. Once the pump is replaced the timing belt has to be replaced and set.
The Camry Solara was initially called the Camry Coup© from 1994 to 1997 and it was, effectively the third generation of Camry rather than a separate model. from 1999 forward the car was renamed the Camry Solara and eventually just the Toyota Solara.
