To add transmission fluid to a 1985 Isuzu Trooper 4x4, locate the transmission dipstick tube, which is typically found near the back of the engine bay. Remove the dipstick, and using a funnel, pour the recommended type of transmission fluid into the tube. Be sure to check the fluid level with the dipstick after adding fluid to ensure it is at the correct level. Always consult the owner’s manual for specific fluid type and capacity.

To add brake fluid to a 1991 Isuzu Trooper, locate the brake fluid reservoir, which is typically situated near the back of the engine bay, close to the driver's side. The reservoir is usually a translucent plastic container with a cap labeled for brake fluid. Remove the cap and pour in the appropriate type of brake fluid (usually DOT 3 or DOT 4), ensuring not to overfill. After adding the fluid, securely replace the cap and check for any leaks.
Pull out the transmission dipstick and pour in fluid with a narrow necked funnel.
Assuming we are talking about an automatic transmission, you remove the transmission dip stick and pour fluid into the dipstick tube.
I know very little about any of this, however I just bought a 1999 Trooper and asked my mechanic exactly this question. Unfortunately, he told me that it has to be checked under the vehicle.AnswerGo down to where do you pour trans. fluid in a 1996 Isuzu rodeo in this forum AnswerWell let me add my 2 cents. If the vehicle has an automatic transmission, there will be a transmission dipstick tube probably on the left hand side of the engine bay. It would look like an oil dip stick set up.If the vehicle has a manual transmission (stick shift) than those are filled by removing a bolt from the side of the transmission, putting your finger in to check the levels.Answer1999 Isuzu Troopers w/automatic transmissions do not come with a dipstick. It is a sealed transmission just like a manual transmission. The fluid must be checked by removing the fill plug. Emergency brake on, engine running, warmed up ,vehicle in neutral. When removing the fill plug ,which is on the side of transmission- at the top, fluid should slightly drip out. If fluid doesnt drip out you need to add fluid. You will need a small hand pump to fill it.
Buy a transmission funnel and pour the fluid in the dipstick tube.
where do you pour transmission oil on a 5 spd
Pour the transmission fluid down the hole the transmission dip stick goes in. You will need a funnel to do it right. WRONG! Do not pour transmission oil into your engine oil compartment! There is no dipstick for transmission oil, at least not on the manual transmission. To fill the transmission, you must pump or pour fluid into the fill hole on the side of the transmission until it dribbles back out.
You pour it in a funnel connected to the check fluid tube. You will need to get a transmission fluid funnel.
Have it cleaned out and flushed immediately
