On a 1996 Nissan Maxima, the bank 2 sensor 1 oxygen sensor is located on the exhaust manifold on the passenger side of the engine. It is positioned upstream of the catalytic converter, measuring the oxygen content in the exhaust gases before they enter the converter. You may need to lift the vehicle for better access, as it can be somewhat difficult to reach.
On a 2005 Nissan Maxima where is the Camshaft Position Sensor (Bank 1) located?
Assuming this is a 3.0 engine, bank 2 would be the three cylinders up front (2,4,6). Bank 1 would be the three cylinders in back (1,3,5). So bank 2 sensor 1 is the O2 sensor right up front that you can see easily.
Bank 2 Sensor 1 located downstream left front rear side.
If bank 1 and bank 2 sensor bad car won't start
Bank one is the side of the engine with cylinder #1. Sensor 2 is after the catalytic converter.
On a 2005 Nissan Maxima, the Bank 1 Sensor 1 O2 sensor is located on the exhaust manifold, upstream of the catalytic converter. It is positioned on the driver's side of the engine, near the front. You may need to access it from underneath the vehicle or from the engine bay for replacement or inspection.
Bank 2, Sensor 1 is located on the front of the engine(radiator side), before the first catalytic converter.
Trouble code P0135 means:O2 sensor heater circuit malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 1)
bank one is drivers side, sensor 2 is rear O2 sensor(oxygen sensors are screwed into exhaust pipes)
bank # 1 is the passenger side of the engine , sensor # 2 is after the catalytic converter ( downstream )
Trouble code P0153 means:O2 sensor circuit slow response (bank 2 sensor 1) Trouble code P0325 means:Knock sensor 1 circuit malfunction (bank 1 or single sensor)
where is bank one sensor 1 located on 2001 maxima Bank 1 sensor 1 is located at the upper front left hand side of the motor. My 01 20th anniversary edition has 4 sensors. Just recently replaced all 4.
