To replace the canister vent valve solenoid on a 2005 Nissan Sentra 1.8, first, ensure the vehicle is turned off and the battery is disconnected. Locate the canister vent valve, which is typically found near the fuel tank or charcoal canister. Disconnect the electrical connector and the vacuum lines attached to the solenoid, then unbolt it from its mounting bracket. Install the new solenoid by reversing the removal steps, reconnecting the vacuum lines and electrical connector, and finally reconnect the battery.

The canister code P1446 in a Nissan Altima typically indicates a problem with the evaporative emissions control system, specifically related to the canister vent control valve. You can find the canister vent control valve near the charcoal canister, which is usually located under the vehicle near the fuel tank. Inspect the connections, the valve itself, and the associated hoses for any damage or blockages. If needed, consult the vehicle's service manual for detailed diagnostics and repair procedures.
I am looking for diagram of the engine to replace a pcv valve. 2002 Nissan Sentra 1.8
If it is like my 2001 Nissan Sentra, there is a cover behind the drivers side tire. It bolts on in the front and 2 quills click into the charcoal cannister. The cover comes off and the white plastic piece is the vacuum cut valve bypass valve. Nissan price $140.00-Wilton Nissan. I also did as recommended, and replaced the valve on the cannister, and the solenoid -the bolt on the canister broke as is evidently common. Replace cannister. Whole job (I did the labor) about $600.00
The purge control valve is located behind the rear wheel that is on the same side as the gas tank. By simplysliding under the bumper one can view the canister and the valve.
