I had a similar problem while stranded up in San Francisco last year and I looked for a day and a half crawling around on my back underneath. The strangest thing and the oddest place for a fuel filter on my 89' at least. I went to the rear wheel well, passenger side, and it was just inside of well. Very much in reaching distance. Good luck
i have a 1990 trooper 2.8 v6 and my fuel filter is in the engine compartment next to the carborater. the wierdest spot for one but that's were mine was. good luck!!
