Pry up the chrome ring around the shifter.
Lift up the console lid and pull out the black container.
Pull up the center console from the cup holder end, it is held down with snap in clips.
Now, on the drivers side, on a black box in front of the shifter, the code is on the top-right corner of a white sticker upside down.

The keyless entry code for a 2008 Mercury Mariner is typically found on a sticker located inside the driver's side door jamb or on the trunk lid. If you can't find it there, the code may also be available in the owner's manual or by contacting a Ford or Mercury dealer. Additionally, some vehicles may have the code programmed into the vehicle's computer system, which a dealer can retrieve.
its on a little card in the glove box

I found the keyless entry pad code under the center console. You will need to pry the bezel trim off first. It has friction grips and will pop out. You can then remove the center console enough to find the black electronic control box. The original code is on the black box on the driver side of the console frame.
THE CODE IS UNDER THE DASH, BEHIND THE EMERGENCY BRAKE ON THE DRIVERS SIDE FLOOR BOARD
Oh, dude, the keyless door code on a 2007 Mercury Montego is usually hidden in the trunk, behind the driver's side trunk liner. It's like a secret code to unlock your car without the key, but don't worry, it's not top-secret spy stuff. Just a little hidden gem for when you inevitably lock your keys inside... which we all do at some point, right?
Each vehicle with a key pad has it's own factory code
