firing order is 1,2,3,4. Simple huh. From front to back of engine.
Hi. I also have a 2001 Kia Sportage with a misfire on my number 1 cylinder. I was looking up some info on the forums, and one person said it's the cylinder cloest to the radiator. I haven't confirmed it yet, but it might just be.
If cylinder one is misfiring on the Kia Sportage 2.0 it could be that the spark plug in that cylinder needs to be changed. It can also mean that the piston in that cylinder is sticking.
In a 1997 KIA Sportage, cylinder 1 is located at the front of the engine on the passenger side. The engine is configured in a four-cylinder layout, and cylinders are numbered from the front to the back, with cylinder 1 being the first one on that side. This layout is typical for many inline four-cylinder engines.
the 4th one in line.
2001 Kia sportage does not have one.
how do you adjust the timing on a 2002 kia sportege it is adjusted by the computer. All you can do is make sure the timing marks are on there marks when cylinder one is at TDC.
I have a 2000 sportage. with your hood open look on the right hand side it is behind the cylinder head next to the firewall. I cant rember if it has one or two bolts
when cylinder number one is at TDC, and the cams line up with there respective timing marks.Don't forget the crankshaft too.Only go clockwise.
