The sending unit is a little can that screws into the engine block below the valve cover area. It has a single wire clip that snaps onto a post on the side of the unit. The sender should be an inch and a half to two inches across. If in doubt, go to a parts store and look at one. You may need to buy one anyway, right? Cheers!
