The computer has recognized a failure in this ciricuit. Probable Causes 1. -Oxygen sensor defective 2. -Poor connection at oxygen sensor 3. -Check circuit-fuse
in front of the cat sensor 2 is after the cat
Sensor 1 is before the cat
bank 1 is the first oxygen sensor coming down from the engine. bank 2 is the one furthur back installed into the exhaust system. if bank 1 gooes, your ar will ride horrible. f bank 2 goes, it will run alright but you will be buring alot of fuel and losing soe power

On a 2004 Mitsubishi Galant, the O2 sensor bank 2 sensor 1 is located on the exhaust system. Specifically, it is positioned before the catalytic converter on the bank 2 side of the engine, which corresponds to the rear bank of cylinders. To access it, you may need to lift the vehicle for better visibility and reach. Always ensure the engine is cool before attempting to work on exhaust components.
The bank 2, Oxygen sensor 2, on a 1999 Mitsubishi Diamante is located on the passenger side of the vehicle. It is in the exhaust in the undercarriage.
Bank 1 is where cylinder #1 is. Sensor 1 is ahead of the converter (usually in the manifold.
