I have a 2002 Galant so I am assuming they are all like this...follow the bottom hose leading from the radiator to the back of the engine. You need to disconnect the battery and remove it and the panel it sits on in order to get to the thermostat housing. first it depends on the engine size, say 2.4l sohc is mounted on the front left of the engine near the right side of the battery. The 3.0 v6 follow the lower radiator hose to the engine you should see a aluminum kinda square box that the thermostat is in.if you cant locate might want to purchase a book on that model from autozone or advance and it will show you.
