it should be just under the front middle of the engine follow the bottom pipe it will take you to the thermostat and the water pump is built to that.

I have a 2008 Subara Impreza. When should i change the timing belt? Do i also need to change the cogs, tension bars and water pump??
The Subaru Impreza does not have a fuel pump inertia switch. If you are having fuel issues it could be the fuel pump relay or fuel pump.

Low coolant?Bad thermostat?System airbound?Bad water pump?
A noisy fuel pump in a 1995 Subaru Impreza could be a sign of oncoming failure. Check the pump for the source of the noise, and it is probably a good idea to replace it.
Water appearing to be coming from the center of the enginge may be a leaking water pump. When the water pump begins to fail, water runs from behind the timing belt cover which may seem to be comming from the center of the engine. Hope this helps. Claude
Its in the tank with the fuel pump its just in front of the pump take out the back seats and lift a cover
It's located in the fuel tank, under the rear seat.
It should be inside the windshield washer fluid tank
Water pump is located behind the timing belt cover and is driven by the timing belt. The thermostat is located on the bottom of the engine. Remove the two 10mm bolts from the plastic housing that the lower rad hose is connected to.
