Ok my guess is the truck will start and run but,you have no gauges the fuel, water temp and warning lights not coming on?If that is the case the ignition switch has bad contacts. If you move the key while in the igntion running in very small increment the gauges should work or may not.Now if the truck did not run at all the main fuse under the hood close to the battery would be blown.I will be hands down the contacts on ignition are worn out.If by some strange chance your question was about no lighting on the dash it would be a bad dimmer switch. If the ignition itself has bad contacts or is not working correct it can cause these problems,no gauges working,no fan speeds for hvac controls,no radio working, and all fuses in fuse box in the cab are good and the truck will start and run.To correct this replace the ignition switch cost about 130.00 just remove the 5 screws that hold the steering column cover to access it and remove and reinstall new part.Note disconnect the negative battery cable if you do replace this so you do not short out any electrial components.
To remove the instrument panel on a 1987 Mazda B2000, start by disconnecting the negative battery cable to ensure safety. Remove any screws securing the trim bezel around the instrument panel, then carefully pry it off using a trim tool. Next, unscrew the instrument panel itself and disconnect the wiring harnesses at the back. Once everything is detached, you can lift out the instrument panel for replacement or repair.

panel
A control panel or instrument panel is typically found on aircraft, rather than a board. This panel contains the controls and instruments necessary for piloting the plane, such as throttles, flight instruments, radio controls, and navigation equipment. It provides essential information to the pilot for safe operation of the aircraft.
