It turns off left. But it is almost impossible to do without an impact wrench. To get it off without impact tools you need to find some way to keep the engine from rotating as you turn the bolt. That bolt is in there pretty tight and almost any method you try to hold the crank pulley is going to cause damage when you try to crank that bolt loose. Suggest you check with a local rental outfit and rent the compressor (if you don't have one) and the necessary impact wrench and socket. Good luck.
