The past tense is traced.
According to the Bible the Christ is Jesus who is the Son of God. Being the Son of God and being co-equal with God means that Jesus the Christ has been from eternity past and will live forever in heaven. He was not created.
Jesus did not become God - Jesus was and is God from the beginning of time.further answernot only was He God from the beginning of time, but before time began. Jesus Christ is, always will be, was, and always was God for all eternity; eternity past, present, and eternity future. Jesus had no beginning, He only submitted Himself to become man at a certain point in time, only for the purpose of saving men from the death penalty of their sins, by dying for man's sin, but was always God, before, during, and after that. That is what made Jesus so amazing in his time on earth, He was God walking among mere mortals, clothed in human flesh, God living a mortal man's life and dying as a man might die.
It depends on what god/God you are talking about. God - of the Bible - is ageless He has existed in eternity past and will exist in eternity future

To do His father's will. That will was to reconcile sinful man back to God, and that was to die as a sacrifice on the cross of Calvary and be resurrected the third day. This is the mission the God Head had decided on in eternity past (Matthew 18:11). Jesus completed this mission and proclaimed on the cross, "It is finished" (John 19:30).
The word "eternity" can be used to describe both the past and the future as encompassing all time.
Jesus as he is knows everything past, present and future.
