Why after replacing the rear windshield wiper on my 1998 Subaru Forester does it just hang limp and will not work but you can hear the motor working?
the wiper arm has a 10 mm nut that holds it on the shaft if it is lose tighting it if it is tight take the arm off and clean the splin inside the arn and clean the shaft reassemble and use anti seize compound on shaft and retighten it use battery terminal puller to take arm off.
