vibration. after a long time the element in a light bulb becomes worn and fragile. a violant shock like a pot hole or the force of removeing a dash piece can cause the element to break. its like asking why do home light bulbs go they all have a limited life expentancy and on a 1995 the bulbs are 13 years old and i dont have any home bulbs that last that long
The question you ask is too involved for a proper answer. You need to go to a car parts store, and get a repair manual for your car. They cost about $16.00
Usually that situation is caused by a defective alternator. Hope that helps
a fuse
The dial for the dash lights is very sensitive, you have to keep turning the. Dial up and down get the light to go on.when if does go on the light is very week.
Check your fuse block or trace the ground wire and make sure it is securely attached to the frame.
fuse,or dimmer swich!
FIRST I WOULD CHECK FUSE MAYBE BAD USE A]> FUSE TESTER AN GO FROM THERE ARE AS SOMEONE AT PART STORE TO CHECK THEM ?
short in the wire or they are all on one wire
you didnt specify year, but its time delayed electronically. Assuming they do eventually turn off, all is well. It's 1995 Cadillac Concours the interior lights, and head lights go out when I cut the car off but the dashboard lights stay on.
You need the fuse box.
Because it is British.
There is a dashboard illumination switch that controls the brightness. If it is pushed up fully, the interior lights will stay on. Lower the switch slightly until the interior lights go off. When doors are closed, if the switch is lowered, the lights should go off after about 30 seconds max, maybe less. Hope this Helps, it did on mine.
