Acura was introduced by Honda in 1986 as the first luxury vehicle division from a Japanese automaker. The brand was launched in the United States with two models: the Acura Legend and the Acura Integra. Acura aimed to compete with established luxury brands by offering performance, luxury, and advanced technology.
It would be your ignition lock not cathing and needs to be replaced. I have 90 acura legend L. Problem is bad ignition switch. They are about $70 at autozone.
Try to wiggle the wheel a bit and trying again.
The start relay on a 1989 Acura Legend is typically located in the engine compartment fuse box. To access it, open the hood and locate the fuse box, which is generally positioned near the battery. The relay itself can be identified by its rectangular shape and is usually labeled. Always refer to the vehicle's service manual for specific diagrams and instructions for your model.
Check the ignition coil and the spark plugs in the Acura. It sounds like the engine is not getting enough fire to ignite the fuel.
notorious fuel pump issues in 87 acura...check the fuse to start .. also they have a issue in the rotor it seems to shorten and the distibuter arcs. take the cap off the distributer and look for any carbon build up ,if it is dirty in there at all that's your problem..
