Happened to me, you need to turn the car back on. Put the gears down to neutral, while your foot is on the break and then push it back up into park. And make sure the hand break is up.
I had everything done right, I'm assuming the car just hadnt locked park in properly.
So try that :)

Wiggle the key as you turn the key while in the ignition switch. My 1994 gets stuck about once a month.
If the key gets stuck in the ignition of a 2000 Volvo S70, it may be due to a few common issues. First, ensure the gear shift is fully in the "Park" position, as the ignition system is designed to prevent key removal unless it's in Park. Additionally, a faulty ignition switch or worn ignition cylinder could be the culprit. If the problem persists, consider consulting a mechanic for further inspection and repairs.

It's a device that you stick into the ignition of a car and it removes the entire console from the dashboard...it's meant for replacing ignitions if something gets stuck there or some other reason preventing you from using the ignition....ALTHOUGH some people use it to cripple cars for people as well, a more severe case of tire slashing when you think about it ... :)
