I have a 2001 Tiburon with the DOHC 2.0 and had the exact same problem. Turned out that the intake gasket was leaking. I found this out by spraying brake cleaner around where the intake bolts to the head on the backside of the engine. When you spray it more than likely it will burn white smoke out of the exhaust and possibly change the way it runs. I change the gasket myself but I'm also a mechanic so if your not comfortable attempting to replace the gasket I would take it to a shop.
The manual transmission in a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon requires 2.3 quarts of gear oil.

Well, sweetheart, to get the radio code for your Hyundai Tiburon, you'll need to check the owner's manual or maintenance booklet that came with the car. If you can't find it there, you can contact a Hyundai dealership with your VIN number handy, and they should be able to provide you with the code. Just make sure to have a sweet smile ready for those folks at the dealership!
It's a big job and you'll need a service manual to find all the right disconnects and fasteners.
it recommends regular in the owners manual but premium should give you a little extra horsepower.
The 2005 Hyundai Tiburon typically requires about 4.5 quarts of oil when equipped with the 2.0L engine and around 5.0 quarts for the 2.7L V6 engine, including the oil filter. Always consult the owner's manual for the specific engine type to confirm the exact capacity.
remove the side plug and fill til it runs out the same hole, get a pump from auto zone, couple bucks.
The total fill capacity for a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon is 8.2 quarts (including the fluid inside the torque converter). However for just a drain/fluid change, it will probably require about half that amount. If you still have the owner's manual, that would be a good place to look. The fluid capacities should be listed. If not, try calling the parts or service department of your local Hyundai dealer.
