The year and/or accumulated mileage of the CR-V is not given in the question - SO - Possibilities are: spark plugs need changing - distributor needs work - fuel filter is clogged - fuel pump needs replacing. 2600 rpms are very low for a gasoline engine much less a highperformance engine. if it was me, I'de find a turbo 400 transmission. They are a lot stronger. They were common in pickups and stationwagons. they should also cost about the same to have built.

If you have it in too high of gear and traveling at a low speed the starts to die and restarts because it is a manual transmission, all you have to do is shift to a lower gear.
