when i started to get a rough idle in gear cold and warm, with accessories on or off. with 269,xxx miles on it, I cleaned the Mass Air Flow Sensor, and Throttle Body. Using a Mass Air Flow Cleaner from BG and just a Toothbrush and Carb and Choke Cleaner on my Throttle body. about 6k miles later it returned with a slight rough idle, and I replaced my PCV Valve for the first time, now it purrs like a kitten.
Total repair cost 6.99 for Mass Air Flow cleaner from BG
3.99 for Carb and Choke Cleaner

If an alternator is going bad it can cause a rough idle in a 1993 Subaru Legacy. Cold temperatures in the winter can also cause a rough idle in the Subaru Legacy.
throttle body or idle air control value

The choke mechanism on your 98 Explorer could be sticking. The EGR valve could also not be functioning right. Either of these issues could cause the rough idle problem.
A 2000 Toyota Echo may idle fast due to several reasons, including a malfunctioning idle air control valve (IAC), a vacuum leak in the intake system, or issues with the throttle body. Additionally, problems with the engine's sensors, such as the mass airflow sensor or coolant temperature sensor, can also lead to irregular idling. It's important to diagnose the issue properly to ensure effective repairs.
If a 2001 Toyota Echo stalls when cold, it could be due to several issues such as a failing idle air control valve, dirty fuel injectors, or a malfunctioning mass air flow sensor. Cold weather can also exacerbate problems with fuel delivery or the ignition system. Checking for any stored error codes and inspecting components related to the air-fuel mixture and ignition timing is advisable. Regular maintenance, such as changing spark plugs and filters, can also help prevent stalling issues.

The idle air control (IAC) valve on a 2001 Toyota Sienna is a component that regulates the engine's idle speed by controlling the amount of air that bypasses the throttle plate. It adjusts the air flow based on engine demands, helping to maintain a stable idle under varying conditions, such as when the engine is cold or when accessories are in use. If the IAC valve malfunctions, it can lead to rough idling, stalling, or difficulty starting the engine. Regular maintenance and cleaning can help ensure its proper function.
