You may need to replace the radiator thermostat and gasket.
cost me about 180 bucks a year ago in colorado, if that helps
I have a 2002 Subaru Impreza Outback and it have the thermostat on the right bellow the engine. You can fallow the hose from the radiator that goes to the bottom of the engine.
The Second Generation Legacy Outback hood will fit on a Second Generation Impreza Outback, but you have to cut or grind the sides down a little (less than a half inch on either side). You might have to reposition the hood hinges too. I know because I just test fitted a 99 Impreza Outback hood on a 98 Legacy Outback and it was too narrow by less than an inch.
There is no reset button. Disconnect the battery for a few hours, then reconnect and the computer's memory will be erased. You'll have to reprogram your radio setting.
No, thanks. Done it, didn't enjoy it.

My 98 impreza just pumps from the front washer tank to the back
The spark plug gap for a 1998 Subaru Impreza/Legacy with the 2.5L DOHC engine is .044".
on my 98 outback impreza sport: under the hood, flip open the fuse box, check diagram on underside of lid, match up with outlay of fuses. Slip a 15A fuse into the slot designated "FWD". This will disengage the AWD, and FWD should show up on on your driver side dashboard. Hope that helps!
It depends on what is wrong with it. We need more info please.
