Sorry, it didn't let me go into detail. But it's when I'm accelerating like sometimes at slower speeds when my car is switching gears or I noticed it yesterday on a freeway. The steering just feels like it goes really loose? Any ideas?

What would cause your steering column on a G20 van to become loose?

There are 4 bolts at the bottom of the steering column that tend to get loose after entering and exiting your vehicle. How do you adjust the free play in the steering wheel on a 1998 Chevy Suburban 4X4 5.7 L?

You can adjust the steering box some. Or possible ball joint problems. If the problem is lurches and surges in the steering (can feel like loose idler arm, loose ball joints, etc.), one common cause is a faulty steering position sensor. This $60 sensor at the base of the steering column (inside the vehicle) tells the variable assist power steering how fast you are turning the steering wheel.

Heavy electrical load and a badly worn and or loose belt that is slipping! When it gets faulty, there will be lurches and surges in the steering. Easy to replace, costs about $60 from GM.

Is there a limit to how fast you can go in NASCAR?

No, most street cars cannot accelerate faster than a nascar car, but some can. A typical nascar car can accelerate from 0-60 in about 4.0 seconds. Some street cars have acceleration times that are pretty close or even beat the times of nascar cars. For example a 2014 Corvette Stingray Z51 can accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 3.8 seconds. Additionally if a street car is modified with a turbocharger and cold air intake it could very well pass the time of a nascar. However NOT ALL cars can accelerate more quickly than a nascar car. For example a 2014 Honda Odyssey LX minivan accelerates from 0-60 in 7.7 seconds.

What drawbacks do electric cars have?

They are quite costly compared to 'normal' cars, most of them can't go as fast, or accelerate so quickly, andcertainlycan't go so far on a charge (the main disadvantage), and there are not so many charge points around as there are petrol stations. Also, when the batteries need changing because they are duff they are very expensive. Mind you, there are some which accelerate very quickly, so these things are not necessarily true of all electric cars
