if it seems to have to turn over and over to crank you may be loosing compression if it's a double over head cam if the belts wore out the slack cause the timing to be off. need more information to be sure.
Probably because timing belts are notoriously unreliable.

I then waited 30 seconds and was then able to start the engine and the alarm was disababled. This also worked on my 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe!

For a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe, the recommended engine oil is typically 5W-30 for most operating conditions. In extremely cold temperatures, you might consider 0W-30 for better cold start performance. Always consult the owner's manual for specific oil recommendations based on your engine type and driving conditions.

To remove the rear seat of a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe, start by locating the release levers or bolts at the base of the seat. For the bottom seat cushion, pull up on the front edge to release it from the clips and then lift it out. For the seatback, look for bolts or release mechanisms at the bottom or sides and remove them. Once detached, carefully lift the seatback out of the vehicle.
You don't. If your Santa Fe only has the front map lights which don't come on when the doors open up there is a fix. Contact HMA and start a case with them. Hyundai has a service policy update which replaces the current map light(s) with ones that will come on along with the rear dome light and cargo area light when a door is opened up. It took my local Hyundai dealer a month of Sundays to get going and order the part/perform the work but it was well worth it.
To reset the ECU on a Hyundai Santa Fe 24i, disconnect the negative battery terminal and leave it disconnected for about 15 minutes. This allows the ECU to discharge and reset. After reconnecting the battery, start the vehicle and let it idle for a few minutes to allow the ECU to recalibrate. Optionally, you can also drive the vehicle for a short distance to help the ECU relearn the engine parameters.
I can't answer it but I have the same thing happening right now with my 2004. First the directional arrows on the dash go on and off, then the door locks and alarm and it won't start while it is doing all that.
To change the language to English on your Hyundai Santa Fe, start by accessing the infotainment system. Navigate to the "Settings" menu, then select "Language." From there, choose "English" from the list of available languages. Ensure you confirm any prompts to save the changes, and the system will switch to English.
