There is a 3-position switch to the left of the steering column: ON, OFF, and Door-Activated.
In the OFF position, the interior lights do not turn on when you open a door.
It's very easy to bump the switch to the OFF position with your knee when getting in or out of the car - I have done it quite a few times.
look a little closer, that one usually tells you that a door is ajar, and there should be a little open door at the correct door on the light. Also depends on the vehicle on my truck it says door open driver side i kept shutting it but it was passenger mine tells me door open but doesnt tell which one.
Most likely the fuse is blown for the dome light on the Silverado if the light doesn't come on.
open the door
hello i have had the same problem it locks and everything if your boot light comes on its not your boot if it doesnt (when bboot open) its our boot seor
When you Open a door :)
When the door is open, it triggers a mechanism that connects to the light switch, causing it to turn on.
You need the members pass and then go to canalave city and the door should open. if it doesnt open i dont know how da f*ck you do
In order to illuminate the light, you need a closed circuit. It would be normally open, and closed to indicate that the door is open.
usually the door isn't completely shut if the light is still on
the door ajar light is staying on all the time
leaving the driver side window down close all doors, trunk and hood. Lock doors with the key fob. Look at dash and you should see a red light on. When this light starts to flash unlock the door from the inside and open it. The alarm should sound.
Magic!
