Try replacing the radiator fuse relay
Hey Mike==Follow the upper radiator hose from the radiator to the engine and at the engine there is a housing that contains the thermostat. When replacing it make sure the spring goes toward the engine. GoodluckJoe
If, by "thermostat" you mean the radiator flow valve that controls engine coolant temperature, yes. All liquid cooled engines need such a thermostat.
Potenially a bad temperature sensor or bad contact on the wire connector. Test for set voltage resistance according to temperature.
Go with the 180.
Four cylinder, it is where the upper radiator hose attaches. Six cylinder, it is where the lower radiator hose attaches.
The thermostat for a 6 cylinder Ford pickup is in the top radiator hose inlet. The hose and inlet need to be removed to install the thermostat..
i would replace fan relay, before replacing thermostat. the relay acts as a thermostat for the fan, turning fan on and off when needed
Drain the radiator. disconnect the top radiator hose from the engine. Remove the water inlet that the hose was hooked to. The thermostat is in the housing. Replace the gasket when replacing the thermostat.
the thermostat is located between the thermostat housing and the cylinder head. To locate the thermostat housing you can follow the upper radiator hose. The part connecting the upper radiator hose to the cylinder head/engine is the thermostat housing. To remove it to access the thermostat will require the use of a 10mm wrench and the draining of the engine coolant
There are two possible types of thermostat. On some models the thermostat housing is on the off side of the cylinder head below the fitting for the top radiator hose. In other models the thermostat is inside the top radiator hose and there is no housing for it on the cylinder head.
The thermostat on a 2001 Nissan Frontier 4 cylinder is located on top of the water pump. The thermostat can be found by following the upper radiator hose.
