Near the shifter there is a power/normal button ,if the light on the dash is on ,you must have put it in power mode.The power mode raises your shift points into a higher rpm range,it is used mostly if you are towing something heavy or if you need to accelerate a bit more aggressively.Also if you are in power mode and you put the shifter into second gear you will start off in second ,in normal mode you will start in first then shift to second ,this is usefull if you get stuck on slippery sufaces.
