I had the same problem. It turned out that the wire from the battery to the starter was corroded on the inside and I couldn't even see it. I changed the wire for about 8.00 and tada! started right up.
If it isn't that, it could be something locking up the flywheel. If it is a manual, try poping the clutch to get it started. If it starts, check that wire and all other wires. If it doesn't, good luck.
usually you can tell when your car doesnt turn or or doesnt turn over its because of your starter sometimes its not the starter it could be a low battery or corroded wires leading to the starter check that first;
If a 94 Thunderbird starter will not turn over, the battery may be dead. The battery should be charged with jumper cables.
Dead battery? poor battery connections? Remove the battery connections and make sure they are clean and tight. If you do that and it still doesn't turn over, then charge the battery and try. If it still wont turn over I would have the battery tested. If the battery tests good then begin to look at your starter. If your starter tests good, then it is time to look at the ignition switch.
Does it turn over? If not check for loose or corroded battery cables Bad starter solenoid? Bad starter? If it does turn over Check for fuel and spark
If it won't turn over then suspect the starter. Check for power at the starter itself.
BAttery?, starter? ignition switch?
if the battery and battery conections are good, then you need to replace the starter motor
If it won't turn over you may want to check Battery cables for tightness and/or corrosion Starter solenoid Neutral or clutch safety switch
The ignition switch completes the circuit of electricity from the battery to the starter that actually turn the engine over and starts it.The ignition switch completes the circuit of electricity from the battery to the starter that actually turn the engine over and starts it.
Could be the starter relay
- dead battery - starter motor defective - low battery - ignition key problems starter, ignition problems
What do you mean it wont do anything... will the engine turn over... is the battery good... if the battery good and the engine wont turn over as if its not receiving power to the starter then it might be a bad starter or bad starter solenoid.
