Check all the related fuses both in cab and under hood.
Bad headlight switch
If the headlights are on and brake lights work but not the tail lights, it is possible there is a short in the electrical wires. Another cause for this could be that the tail light bulbs are burned out. Most vehicles have more than one bulb inside the tail lights to control different lights at the same time.
believe it or not you may haveblown fuse check them.
i got a 2006toyota highlander my tail lights dont work but, every other light works please help me
i am not sure you mean brake lights or tail lights. If brake lights don't work. You have to check out a brake light switch,(it conects to your brake pedal) make sure both wires are conected to the switch. And if tail lights don't work, you have to replace a head light switch.(where you turn your head light on and off)
does your car has a separate fuse for the tail light? do the lights come on when you hit the brake.
on my 99 aurora the lights are auto i dont touch them and the tail light stay on to
Low beam head lights? High beam head lights? Day time driving lights? Tail lights? Brake lights? Dash lights? Signal lights? Dome light? Glove compartment light? Trunk light? License plate light? Courtesy lights? Give us a clue.
My rear window brake light works, but not my tail light brakes on my 1997 Monte Carlo. What is the problem?
Check your tail lights to see if they are working. Some car makers tie the dash lights to the tail lights as a way to warn you the tail lights are out. Alternately, your head light control dimmer has gone bad.
One or more of the tail lights, head lights, or brake lights is out.
Check the fuses? Check the light switch?
