Check your tranny fluid.
Possible broken or bent shift fork
check the reverse sensor. Open the hood and look on the passenger's side of the motor, where the transmission is. The sensor is all by itself, pretty mmuch in plain view, you'll see 2 wires coming out of it. If that little sensor is too tight, or doesnt have the right sized washer on it, you will not be able to put the car into reverse. Check that before you go spend a whole bunch of money on diagnosing / fixing other things.
If it is a manual transmission their is not one.
If it is a manual transmission, then it is on the front of the transmission. It is one of the two electical connectors on the transmission. The other is the vehicle speed sensor on the backside of the transmission.

There are several things that can cause your manual transmission not to shift out of first gear or reverse. The most common cause is a broken shifting fork.
To determine the model of your Mitsubishi 3000GT, check for specific identifiers such as the vehicle's VIN (Vehicle Identification Number), which can provide details on its model and trim level. Additionally, look for badges on the car itself, as the 3000GT was available in several variants, including the SL, VR-4, and base model. You can also refer to the owner's manual or any official paperwork that accompanied the vehicle for further identification.
To trace the engine serial number on your Mitsubishi 3000GT, first, locate the engine bay and look for a small metal plate or stamp on the engine block itself. The engine serial number is typically found on the passenger side of the engine, near the front or rear. If you're having difficulty finding it, consult your owner's manual or a service manual for specific details. Additionally, you can contact a Mitsubishi dealership for assistance in locating and verifying the serial number.
It is not. The GS is a tranny for an I4, so its not quite wide enough to match up to the V6 block. And if I remember correctly, the 94 manual was a 6-speed. You'd need to get the tranny from a 3rd generation Eclipse GT (I know this works because I did it on my 97) but this only works if you have a SOHC motor, which Mitsubishi didn't put in the 3000GT until 97, but Dodge put it in the Stealth from the beginning. You're probably gonna have to hunt for a Stealth/3000GT parts car.
To locate the fuel relay in a 1993 Mitsubishi 3000GT, first check the owner's manual for the relay diagram and location. Typically, the fuel relay is located in the engine compartment fuse box or near the driver's side under the dashboard. You can also trace the wiring from the fuel pump or use a multimeter to test the relays in the fuse box to identify the fuel relay. If needed, online forums and resources specific to Mitsubishi 3000GT enthusiasts can provide additional guidance.
You can find the fuse diagram for a Mitsubishi 3000GT in the owner's manual, which typically includes detailed diagrams and descriptions of the fuse layout. Additionally, you can check online automotive forums, websites dedicated to Mitsubishi vehicles, or resources like repair manuals from publishers such as Haynes or Chilton. If you need a quick reference, many car-related websites also provide downloadable fuse diagrams.
