Should be a plug at the bottom or rear of radiator
bottom radiator hose
The radiator
The radiator should be the same for all 95-99 model year Subaru Legacys. If I remember correctly, the upper and lower radiator hoses can be different, though, depending on the engine (i.e. EJ22 vs. EJ25) or Legacy version (i.e. Outback, etc.).
Will fit Legacy/Outback Model Year 1995 to 1999.
bad hose, radiator leak, leaking into engine.
Coolant always goes in the top of the radiator.
On the top left hand side of the radiator there is a square screw-in plug with a Philips head. Take it out while filling the radiator to let the trapped air out.
Subaru Legacy was created in 1989.
no air bleed valve. all you need to do is to remove the radiator cap and let the car idle for a few minutes.
if it has one , drivers side bottom if not pull the lower hose
On a 1999 Subaru Legacy, the radiator drain plug is typically located at the bottom of the radiator, on the passenger side. It is usually a plastic or metal valve that can be unscrewed or pulled to allow coolant to drain from the radiator. It's important to ensure the engine is cool and to have a container ready to catch the draining coolant. Always refer to the owner's manual for specific instructions and safety precautions.
