The 1996 Geo Tracker shares its platform and many components with the Suzuki Sidekick and Vitara. As such, parts from 1996-1998 Suzuki Sidekick models are generally compatible. Additionally, some components from the 1999-2004 models may also fit, but it’s advisable to check specific parts for compatibility. Always confirm with a trusted parts dealer or mechanic for precise matches.
The EGR valve on a 1998 Suzuki Sidekick is not repairable. It has no replaceable or user serviceable pieces or parts.
there are 2 systems. in 1995 , the car was sold with both r12 and r134, different major parts. so are not interchangeable. 95 and back, but 94 and back can be. but 96-98 is a family. and are compatible. hope that helps. http://www.kick-fix.com/air-conditioning.html I am pretty sure it will, I know a '96 sidekick or tracker will fit. Most of the sidekick tracker stuff works. Check out the x90 yahoo group, very helfpul there.
AnswerThe Samurai is a completely different vehicle. Other than another Tracker you can use a Suzuki Sidekick for parts.you didnt say years.but there are some common parts.and the sidekick has a bigger motor 1.6L and 1.8L and has 16v head on some.the sammi is 1.3l. so that is not going to swap well but many have.many people put 1.6L 16v motors and 2.0L motors in to sammi'smany, i have helped many.not sure of your question at all since you gave no examples.are you trying to swap driveline parts or body parts.?
From what I've seen . . . yes. It appears 1996 -1998 was a run on most everything dealing with chassis and dash parts between the X-90, Sidekick, and Tracker.
I read on a forum once that the Suzuki has larger front brakes than the tracker, which, if true would mean a better mountain truck. Other than that I heard most other parts are the same, though this is just from the limited forum hearsay on this topic.

The 1999 Suzuki Vitara and Geo Tracker share many compatible parts due to their similar engineering and design. Common compatible components include engines, transmissions, suspension parts, brakes, and some body panels. Additionally, interior components such as seats and dashboard elements may also interchange. However, it's essential to verify specific part numbers for compatibility, as variations can exist based on trim levels or regional models.

Parts from a 1997 Suzuki Katana may not directly interchange with a 2002 Suzuki Katana due to differences in design, specifications, and model updates over the years. While some components like certain engine parts or fasteners might be compatible, major parts such as frames, plastics, and electrical systems are likely to differ significantly. It's best to consult a parts manual or a knowledgeable dealer for specific compatibility information.
Most parts will interchange. The tail sections are different as are the swingarms.
Suzuki and Peugeot do not share parts. 4-cylinder Grand Vitaras built before 2006 have some interchangeable parts with Chevrolet Tracker vehicles, because Suzuki was building them for General Motors.
