If your 94 SL 3000GT is experiencing a no-spark condition, start by checking the ignition system components. Inspect the ignition coil, spark plugs, and spark plug wires for wear or damage. Additionally, examine the crankshaft position sensor and camshaft position sensor, as these can affect spark generation. Lastly, ensure that the battery and electrical connections are in good condition, as poor connections can lead to a lack of spark.
Miss fire on any car is usually ignition related. Checking the spark plugs & wires is a good start.
The problem is in spark, or fuel. Rarely the Crank angle sensor. ECU could be going bad too.
To replace the spark plugs on a 1992 Mitsubishi 3000GT, first, ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the negative battery terminal. Remove the ignition coils by unscrewing them and disconnecting the electrical connectors. Then, using a spark plug socket, carefully remove the old spark plugs and replace them with new ones, ensuring they are gapped correctly. Finally, reassemble the ignition coils, reconnect the battery, and start the engine to check for proper operation.
timing belt , no spark or fuel pump has quit
that happened to me for a 3000gt and i figure out it was a short, something was sparking and was causing the whole car to go dead. i was fixing it at night and that was how i found the problem, the spark was bright
The distributor might need to be changed. The spark plug cables are connected to it.
check crank angle sensor
Check for fuel and spark
check for spark. check for fuel pressure.
behind the front exhaust downpipe
If you have the three things that you need Fuel, air, and spark then timing must be the culprit
There are a few good sites to get decorative ideas from. I would start with either HGTV or DIY, they are great!
