if i am not mistaken you are probablly seeing the check engine light...if it turns off no worries. Newer cars like have a dash light such as that or ABS that comes on to show that computer in your car is running a diagnostic check on all systems. This may not be what it is, but as long as it shuts off i wouldn't worry about it.
