In our day and age, humans can live anywhere, because we now have the
ability to transport a small region with a living environment to any place we
want to go, such as earth-orbit or the surface of the moon. But if we don't
recreate a living environment ... with air, water, pressure, temperature, food,
radiation shielding, etc. ... then humans can't live anywhere except the surface
of the Earth. And even there, there are large areas that are definitely questionable,
like the Sahara, the top of Mt. Everest, the north Pole, etc.
If you were not wearing a pressurized suit, you would explode, just like in outer space because Ceres has no atmosphere.
If your pressurized suit was not heated, you would likely freeze to death, because you would be standing on a very cold planet.
If your suit was pressurized and heated, you would be able to jump very high, because the gravity is only about 3% of earth's and there is not atmosphere to slow you down either.
Without a magnetic field (just as with Mars) you would be exposed to high levels of radiation on Ceres, that would eventually be lethal.
More details of whether or not living beneath the surface of Ceres would be feasible will probably be known once the NASA satellite Dawn arrives there in 2015.
no it is not possible to live on Ceres in 2015 NASA is sending a probe to Ceres to check it out and to see if it has suitable water under the crust to support life but so far we can not live on Ceres's
Well you couldn't live there without a space suit or air-tight building, why?
Though there are advantages
No you couldn't because there is almost no oxygen on Ceres and there is no food or water to be eaten or drunk.
No you couldn't because there is almost no oxygen on Ceres and there is no food or water able to be eaten or drunk. Also because of Tal and Eitan Shooshani.
No. Ceres could not sustain any form of life from Earth.
ceres has 0 because its a asteroid
Demeter is the Greek equivalent of Ceres, who is a Roman goddess.
Yes. Surface gravity on Ceres is about 3% that of Earth.
Ceres is not called a moon because it orbits the sun and not a planet.
Ceres is classified as a dwarf planet. Ceres is a large asteroid, part of the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. If it was a planet, it would be classified as an inner.
Possibly. There are no current plans of sending people to Ceres. We will likely work on plans for a mission to Mars before we consider going to Ceres.
because our earth is so far a better place to live
In the myth, the gods and goddesses of greek mythology lived on Mount Olympus high up in the sky.
No, you can't live on the Asteroid Ceres, it doesn't have enough sunlight or a protective atmosphere to support a living being. The only known planet to be capable of supporting life in the planet earth.
The address of the Ceres Library is: 2250 Magnolia, Ceres, 95307 3209
The role of Ceres in Persephone and Ceres is Ceres is persephones mom and gets depressed because Pluto abducted persephone
Ceres is not a gaseous planet. Ceres is not a planet, it is a dwarf planet. Ceres has a rocky surface.
No,ceres has no moons
A planet like Earth, or a dwarf planet like Ceres, are so enormous that any thrust humans can produce with current technology will not have a significant impact on its orbit.
No Ceres does NOT have an atmosphere.
No. Ceres does not have an atmosphere.
Saturn is Ceres' father.
