there is the myth of the caribs ( the first humans) who came from the moon to earth to clean the earth. they then decided to live on earth

to a few days. All the humans need to do is bring everything that keeps them alive

on Earth ... a livable psychological and emotional environment, air, water, food,

pressure, and shielding from UV radiation, X-radiation, gamma radiation, and solar

wind, and machinery and detergent to do laundry with. Pack and carry everything

that keeps you alive on Earth, and protection from everything the Earth's atmosphere

protects you from, and you can live anywhere. In other words, you can live in any

place that you can fix up to be a good enough copy of Earth.
No. You can not live on the moon for many reasons such as not enough oxygen, not the right pressure, no water, temperature and low gravity may make it hard. There are probably more reasons why you can't live on the moon.(These are just some)

The Moon has a negligible or non-existent atmosphere (meaning nothing to breathe, and nothing to slow incoming meteors before impact), suffers extreme temperature variations (from below -200 to over a 100 degrees depending upon exposure to the sun), has only a fraction of the gravity of Earth (which could lead to health problems and the wasting of bones and muscle), and is saturated in cosmic and solar radiation (which is simply not at all good for you on the long term).

Potential settlers would need to be provided with a ready source of oxygen and water, heat, insulation, and enclosed habitats with adequate shielding and impact protection, and a sustainable source of food.

While there may be a viable source of water and fuel for future generations to populate the moon (water has been detected, and abundant helium isotopes ideal for future forms of fusion power generation), the economical and technological difficulties in doing so now are practically insurmountable.

It is not implausible to imagine humans building a base on the moon within the next few decades, however, with adequate investment and possible technological developments.
