Cold fronts are when cold air is moving rapidly and it runs into slowly moving warm air mass. The warm air is pushed upward. Warm fronts are a moving warm air masss that collides with a slowly moving cold air mass. A station front is when cold air masses and warm air masses meet. An occluded front is when the warm air mass is caught between the 2 cold air masses.
