If they're really out in space, they wear the boots attached to the space suits.

During lift-off and re-entry they're usually also suited up. But a normal day in the space ship /space station they can wear almost anything. Usually very light shoes, almost slippers. Experiments had been made with velcro and magnetic soles, but they haven't worked out that well.
